It is a wonderful thing to have you take time from your busy schedule to learn a little about me. I am deeply grateful.
As long as I can remember I've been an artist. I think like most high school graduates I worried that if I got into an art career I would always rely on support from my parents or starve. So, I entered into banking. I did fine but I couldn't escape the reacurring nightmares I had. I was always running away from a faceless, huge, and fast thing. The terrain was bumpy and I was panicked but I always managed to keep away from the thing I was running away from.
While visiting Las Vegas one day I decided to have my nightmare interpreted at a fortune teller's booth in Circus Circus. She told me that I needed to stop avoiding something. Whatever it is, haunts you. I have always believed art haunts me. When I'm sitting in the most unlikely place, it is in my mind. I can't drive down the street without noticing color, line, texture, and shape.
You'll be happy to know that ever since I started studying art in college, I have never had that nightmare again. I am still haunted by art but is a dream rather than a nightmare.
This is my sweet little puppy, Spencer!
